GROWMECH Range of Ferro Alloys
Ferro Manganese

Ferro Manganese is applied in the manufacturing of different types of steel in the form of desulfurizing, eliminating nitrogen bubbles that may form during manufacturing, and reducing the amount of iron oxide resulting from the production process./p>

Ferro Silicon

It is used as a deoxidizer in the production of stainless steels and for the production of magnesium through Pidgeon.

Ferro Chrome

Ferro Chrome is an essential element of stainless steel. It helps in hardening of materials and improves wear resistance. It is an alloy of chromium and iron containing between 50% and 70 % chromium, produced by melting in an arc furnace of chromite and chrome mineral.

Ferro Tungsten

Ferro Tungsten is used to increase the melting point of any alloys. It is suitable for various applications such as aerospace, castings and welding electrode.

Ferro Titanium

Ferro Titanium is a cleansing agent in production of steel. It is also used for deoxidizing, desulfurization and denitrification. It is used in manufacturing of welding electrodes and fireworks.

Ferro Vanadium

Ferro vanadium gives stability against alkalis, sulphuric and hydrochloric acids. It makes steel corrosion resistant, and increases the tensile strength steel, casting and welding electrodes.

Ferro Molybdenum

Ferro Molybdenum is an alloy of iron and molybdenum. It is available in lumpy size and various grades on demand.

Other available Ferro Alloys products include:

  • Ferro Aluminium (FeAi)
  • Ferro Baron (FeB)
  • Ferro Phosphorous (FeP)
  • Ferro Silicon Zirconium (FeSiZr)
  • Ferro Silico Manganese (FeSiMg)

Monolithics

GROWMECH monolithics are conscientiously developed to guarantee greater dependability, lower energy costs, lower maintenance cost, reduced downtime, easier installation, longer application life, and greater productivity. They can be used on the site to repair or build furnace.

They consist of graded refractory aggregates, binders, fillers, and special addictives for modification of properties. They have abrasion resistance, thermal resistance, mechanical integrity, and chemical inertness.

GrowMech Range and Applications

The monolithics are available in several forms and formulations. They are versatile and applied in steel, cement, investment cast, industrial/wood heat, incineration, waste disposal, petrochemical industries, and non-ferrous metallurgical.

Plastic Refractories

Plastic refractories are mixtures of refractory aggregates and cohesive clays which are prepared in stiff, unfired and formable plastic condition at the proper consistency for use without further preparation.

  • High refractoriness
  • Wide range of compositions
  • Easily be rammed into place
  • Highly resistant to destructive spalling
  • Used to form refractory monolithic linings in various kinds of furnaces
  • Specially adaptable for making quick
  • Economical emergency repairs
Benefits of Using GrowMech Monolithics
  • Quick installation
  • Avoiding delays for the manufacture of special brick shapes
  • Eliminating difficult bricklaying tasks, which may be accompanied by weakness in construction
  • Substantial repairs can be made with a minimum loss of time
  • Better insulation
  • Lower permeability
  • Improved resistance to the spalling effects of thermal shock.
Ramming Refractories

These materials are very similar to plastic refractories though are much stiffer mixes.

  • Accurate composition
  • Longer shelf life
  • Safe to use
