HEAT TREATMENT FURNACES FOR LONG

GROWMECH has successfully supplied heat treatment lines for long products which provide a wide range of applications in continuous and batch operation to several clients in many countries.

Our heat treatment lines are advanced process technologies for a full range of heat treatment from preheating before forging, to normalising, annealing, stress relieving, tempering and hardening.

  • Annealing
  • GrowMech heat treatment furnaces use different maximum temperatures and cooling rates depending on the application and the required reaction.

  • Quenching
  • The heat treatment furnaces also cool materials at a rapid rate to produce the desired results. They produce a harder metal in ferrous alloys and a softer metal in non-ferrous alloys.

  • Tempering
  • Our heat treatment furnaces help to reduce the brittleness and remove any stresses caused by quenching. To do this, the steel is heated to a specific temperature and then cooled.

  • Selective Heat Treating
  • The heat treatment furnaces are used to alter the properties of only a portion of a material. This produces improved strength, wear resistance or impact resistance where it is required in certain sections of a material.

Hearth Furnace

Our hearth furnace is used for bars, plates, coils and tube. It operates at 600oC to 1,350oC. Its functions also include:

  • Preheating before forging
  • Stress relief in metal products, pressure vessels, rolls
  • Various annealing processes
  • Quench and tempering
  • Normalizing
Roller Hearth Furnace

This operates from 600 ̊C to 1,350 ̊C temperatures and is used for bars, tubes, wire rod coils and heavy plates. Its applications include:

  • Annealing
  • Quench and tempering (austempering)
  • Normalizing
  • Stress relief
Specialty Furnaces

These furnaces operate with a variety of fuels to achieve process temperatures up to 1,200 ̊C. Their applications include strip coils, wired rod coils, cast iron tubes or graphite electrodes. We have the following range:

  • Rotary hearth furnaces

  • Graphite electrode bogie hearth furnaces

Rotary Hearth Furnace

It is used for reheating all semi-finished products, such as round or square billets for seamless pipe mills and forging plants, high grade steel ingots for railway wheels, and heat treatment (annealing, quenching) of wire rod coils. It ensures optimal performance and easy maintenance.

Forging Furnace

Its applications include ingots, square or round billets. The range includes:
